  • VitaminWater…isn’t

Coca-Cola is now being sued by a non-profit public interest group, the Center for Science in the Public Interest, on the grounds that the company’s hugely popular VitaminWater makes unwarranted health claims.

  • Global Water Snapshot

Since water is a finite resource, basic logic tells us that as the world’s population continues to grow (estimated 9.2 billion by 2050), there will be more demand placed upon an already stressed resource.

  • Save water…pay more?

End all efforts to keep water rates artificially low. Many consumers do not pay the full cost of the water they use.

  • Sprinkler Math

Most people have no idea how much water they use to irrigate their lawn and garden until they receive that first, and often shocking, water bill of the summer.

  • Save the Colorado!

The Colorado River is dying. Population growth, diversions, dams, climate change, and pollution are taking their tole on this mighty river.

Pee Graph

Every graph tells a story…especially this one.

EPCOR, Edmonton’s water provider, released this graph the other day to illustrate the demand that can be placed on a utility.

It is estimated that on the 28th of February, 2010,  about 80% of Canada was watching the Olympic Mens Gold Hockey game.

Imagine the demand placed upon a water provider if everybody in a given area flushed at the same time…like during a period break or at halftime. All water and wastewater providers are federally required to have the infrastructure to meet this demand.

  1. That’s a scary thought! Thanks for taking the initiative to inform the public about water conservation. If we could all just be more conscious, we could probably save a whole bunch of money in infrastructure costs.
